"Deconstructed Radio projects

Deconstructed radios kind of began with one element of "Made to Malfunction in Chiba" in July 2025, but really started to take shape during a residency at Artists' House in Pärnu, Estonia. The first two became part of the larger project and permanent installation "Totem of Frequencies". The third is a standalone piece that is featured below and was first shown as part of Klangmanifeste in Vienna, Austria in December 2025.

The latest development was commissioned by Konnekt in Geneva, Switzerland for their "Broadcasting - Who's listening?" series of events in February 2026. The 5 analogue radio sets were dismantled and reassembled in ways to resemble the exploded diagrams in old instruction manuals, suspended on cables to add to this effect and enable people to view them from all angles.

Kindly invited to both perform and exhibit work for Klangmanifeste 2025 which will run in December in Vienna, Austria, I have developed a piece alongside the installation "Totem of Frequencies" while in residency at Artists House, Pärnu, Estonia and takes a radio kindly donated by artist Erik Alalooga, disassembling it to expose its complex circuitry and blasting out white noise static sporadically.
