Made II Malfunction
A collection of recordings documenting combinations of kinetic sound works developed during a residency at Ferme-Asile, Sion, Switzerland in 2021, plus a recording of all 10 works in the edition 'Concealed Errors'.
A sequel and a response to "InTolerance". It is a personal reaction to the global pandemic and its wide-reaching effects through suffering, fear, misinformation as much as confinement and curfews. Staged and chance activities. Meticulous constructions. Static scenes. Abandoned sites. Interrupted signals. Severed connections. Energy transmitted, translated, received. Locations were revisited retrospectively, introspectively, their whereabouts unimportant.
Composed from the development of Double Deck during the residency at Atelier Expérimental, Clans, France. A mechanism for playing two cassettes was reversed, adapted, prepared and then activated by collected sounds of water in the village.
